We started Firefrog because the braais we could buy were either too pretty to use or too cheap to last. Both felt like a small betrayal of what a fire is for: the people you pull around it.
So we built one ourselves. Then a fire pit. Then a flat-pack camp grill for the long weekends. Today we hand-weld every unit in a Cape Town workshop, sign the back panel, and ship it out with a promise we mean — that you'll still be cooking on it the day your kids leave home.
That's why we say a lifestyle earned. The fire is the reward. The gear is just here to make sure it keeps burning.

What makes a Firefrog braai different from a generic grill?
Every Firefrog unit is built from heavy-gauge South African steel, hand-finished, and engineered to handle real wood and charcoal — not just gas. Our hinges, grids and fire boxes are over-spec'd so the unit ages into a family heirloom rather than rusting out in three summers.
Do you deliver across South Africa?
Yes. We ship nationwide with a courier insured for heavy goods. Major metros land in 3–5 working days, outlying areas in 5–10. White-glove install in Cape Town, Joburg and Durban is on the cards.
Wood, charcoal, or gas?
Our braais run beautifully on all three, but we tune the airflow for hardwood and charcoal — that's where flavour lives. Gas conversion kits are available for the Hearth and Homestead ranges.
What's the warranty?
Five years on the structural body and fire box. One year on consumable parts — grids, ash trays, wheels. We repair before we replace, and we replace before we refund.
Can I customise the finish?
Absolutely. Choose between matt charcoal, weathered ember, or raw mild steel that will patina over time. Bespoke sizing on builds over R20 000.
